Tilt the rear bench seat back and allow it to
engage.
Release handles ; fold down towards the
vehicle floor.

Fold the rear bench seat back into the upright
position.
The rear seat legs of the rear bench seat have
engaged correctly if:
the seat legs engage audibly

the indicator tab is no longer visible and is
R
fully retracted into the seat legs
If the rear seat legs of the rear bench seat have
not engaged correctly:

Release the rear seat legs again with release
handles ;.

Pull the rear bench seat back by grab handles
= with force so that the seat legs engage
correctly.
The seat backrest can then be positioned ver-
tically.

WARNING
If a seat is not engaged, it may be thrown
about while the vehicle is moving. There is a
risk of an accident and injury.
Always make sure that all seats are engaged
as described.

WARNING
When adjusting a seat, you or another vehicle
occupant could become trapped by the guide
rail of the seat, for instance. There is a risk of
injury.
Make sure that no one has any part of their
body within the sweep of the seat when
adjusting it.

WARNING
The seat will not engage when folded forward.
The seat may inadvertently fold backward
while accelerating, braking, changing direc-
tion suddenly or in the event of an accident,
for example. People within the sweep of the
seat may become trapped. There is a risk of
injury.
Before driving off, always fold back the seat if
it is folded forward. Make sure that the seat is
fully engaged.
The only way to ensure that the rear seat
engages securely is to always keep the ancho-
rages clean and free of objects.
The rear seat anchorage is only engaged when
the red indicator tab is no longer visible and is
fully retracted into the seat anchorage.

If you fold the rear seat forwards, it is easier and
simpler to get into or out of the second row of
seats.

To fold the rear seat forwards: pull one of
the two EASY-ENTRY release handles ;
upwards.

Fold the rear seat forwards using release han-
dle ;.

To fold the rear seat back: fold the rear seat
back until it engages in the anchorage.
The rear seat has engaged correctly if:
the seat anchorage engages audibly

indicator tab = is no longer visible and is fully
R
retracted into the seat anchorage
