5.1.15 Step 10: Configure Fax Signaling Method

This step defines how to configure the Fax Signaling Method to G.711 Transport for the calls
between the Media Gateway and the analog devices (ATA's and embedded Media Gateway FXS
ports).
To configure the Fax Signaling Method parameters:
1.
Open the 'SIP General Parameters' page (Configuration tab > Protocol Configuration
menu > Protocol Definition submenu > SIP General Parameters).
2.
From the FAX Signaling Method drop-down list, select 'G.711 Transport'.
3.
From Play Ringback Tone to IP drop-down list, select 'Play' to provide a ringback tone to
the analog device in case it transferred to another IP user.
