The cutting unit raise and lower switches are located on the joystick bracket. The
rear switch is used to lower the cutting units and the front switch is used to raise
the cutting units. The switches are identical. Each switch includes a common
terminal, a normally open terminal and a normally closed terminal.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface and lower the cutting units. Make sure
the engine is off and the key switch is in the OFF position.
2. Raise the operator seat and access the switch from under the pod (cover).
3. Disconnect the wire harness from the switch and use a multimeter (ohms
setting) to determine whether continuity exists between the various terminals
for each switch position: refer to the
(page
5–21).
4. Replace the switch if necessary.

If the switch tests correctly and a circuit problem still exists, check the wire
harnesses; refer to
6. Connect the wire harness to the switch before returning the machine to
service.
