without scraping your hand against the ground.
The moving components of the jack (screws and
joints) can also cause injuries: avoid touching them.
If you become soiled with the lubricating grease,
wash it off thoroughly;
❒ make sure the contact surfaces between
space-saver wheel and hub are clean so that the
fastening bolts will not come loose;
❒ fit the space-saver wheel making pin N fig. 100
coincide with one of the wheel holes O fig. 100;
❒ fasten the four fastening bolts;
❒ turn the jack handle to lower the car and remove
the jack;
❒ fasten the bolts completely, working in a
criss-cross fashion as shown in fig. 101.
