Operation on failure of the bus connection to the controller

An interruption in the connection between the 3RW5 soft starter and the controller must not
result in an undefined plant status.
Depending on the 3RW5 soft starter, you can set parameters that define the behavior of the
3RW5 soft starter on interruption of the connection with the controller in "Automatic" mode.
The 3RW52 soft starter does not support the parameters. If there is a connection interruption
to the controller, all the bits of the process image outputs (PIQ) are set to 0.

6.3 Operation on failure of the bus connection to the controller
Description
With this parameter, you define how the 3RW5 soft starter will behave if a
CPU / Master stop occurs:
Last value
The 3RW5 soft starter does not change the process image output. The current
control commands are retained.
Substitute value (factory setting)
The process image output of the 3RW5 soft starter is automatically changed to
the values defined in the following parameter "Substitute value".
In the event of a bus failure, the 3RW5 soft starter is controlled by a corresponding
substitute process image output (depending on the 3RW5 soft starter).
