8.26 Dismount the guide bar and check the oiling port (1) for clogging.

8.27 Remove sawdust from the guide bar (1).
8.28 Grease the nose sprocket (2) from the grease port (1) on the tip of the chain bar.
8.29 Reverse the chain bar occasionally to prevent partial wear.
8.30 The bar rail should always be square. Check for wear of the bar rail.
Apply a ruler (1) to the bar and the outside of the cuter.
If there is a visible gap (2) between them the rail is normal.
If there is no gap then the rail is worn then the bar will need to be corrected or
replaced.
