AIR FILTER
CAUTION
Never let the engine run without the air filter being installed.
A dirty air filter element affects the engine performance, increases fuel consumption
and makes it difficult to start.
If you notice a loss of engine power, check the air filter.
If the air filter is damaged you MUST replace it.
You MUST make sure that the housing is free of dust and debris.
DO NOT allow any dust or debris to enter the carburetor.

Put the choke lever to the CLOSED position to prevent dirt from entering the
carburetor.

Remove the screw from the air filter housing (1) and remove the air filter box (2).

Remove the air filter cover (3).
8.3
Remove the air filter (4).
8.4
Wash the air filter in a lukewarm soap solution.
8.5
Allow the air filter to dry naturally.
8.6
Once dry, soak the foam filter in fresh engine oil and then squeeze out the excess.

Re-install the air filter by reversing the procedure above.
