4.11 Security

JetNet 6910G-M12 provides several security features to secure the connection. The
security design features Port Based MAC address Security, IP security and IEEE 802.1x.

4.11.1 Port Security
Port Security feature is to stop the MAC address learning for specific
port. After stopping MAC learning, only the MAC address listed in Port
Security List can access the switch and transmit/receive traffic. This is a
simple way to secure the network environment and not to be accessed
by hackers.
Enable/Disable Port Security: select the port and enable /disable the
port security, then click "Apply" to active Port Security to change the
State.
This page allows to enable Port Security and configure Port Security
entry.
Add Port Security Entry: Select the port, and type VID and MAC
address. Format of the MAC address is xxxx.xxxx.xxxx. Ex:
0012.7701.0101. Max volume of one port is 10. So the system can
accept 100 Port Security MAC addresses in total.
Port Security List: This table shows those
enabled port security entries. It's easy to click on
"Remove" to delete the entry.
