11 - Firmware Update

Logic and functionality of the player is defined by an internal program called «firmware». This program
may evolve to provide new functionality, change the operation of the player or make corrections. The
firmware can be updated or replaced by following these instructions:
The firmware upgrade is done from a microSD memory card (SD or SDHC). The upgrade is not supported
from a USB flash memory.
• On the www.id-al.com web site, download the firmware from the support page of the EventPlayer mkII.
• Format your SD card in FAT32.
• Copy the file EVENT.bin at the root directory of the SD card.
• Eject the SD card by using the ejection process of your OS.
• Turn off the EventPlayer mkII.
• Put the microSD card in the player and switch on. Please, wait until the activity LED of the EventPlayer
mkII turns green.
• At this time, the firmware update is finish. You can switch off the MicroPlayer mkII and remove the
microSD Card.

12 - Reset factory

In some situations such as mistake, forgotten password, new installation, you may need to reinstall
EventPlayer with the original settings. In this case, all configurations will be erased and you will have to
set again the parameters of the LCD menu as if for a new device.
To carry out a reset factory and erase all the settings in order to restore them to the default values:
1 - The player must be switched-off
2 - Press the Volume/Menu button on the front panel and keep it pressed
3 - Switch on the player
4 - As soon as the message «factory reset» appears on the screen, release the button and wait
5 - When the reset process is completed, the usual welcome message is displayed
6 - Enter the Option menu to configure the elements you wish, like time and date.
