Click OK when the current reading stabilizes, or enter a different value.
Click OK.
Press enter when the previous reading was accepted, notice that the 100% Cal Point button becomes highlighted.
Connect the Calibration Standard to calibration test port.
Close the atmosphere vent valve.
Pressure to 100% of the transducer range (100% of target value).
Click OK when the current reading stablizes,
Accept the target value already showing in the window, or enter the pressure value from the calibration source.
Click OK.
Press Enter to select the next Calibration point.
Pressure the transducer to the next target value as shown in the calibration window.
Press Enter when the current reading stabilizes.
Accept the target value already showing in the window, or enter the pressure value from the calibration source.
Click OK.
Repeat steps 17 through 19 until all calibration points have been entered.
Return the manifold to service before exiting calibration mode.
The transducer is now calibrated. New calibration markers should be set. Exiting calibration mode will remove the flow
computer from hold.
6.13.6 Calibrating Differential Pressure (DP)
A three or five point pressure method is used to calibrate the differential pressure cell. These different pressures are applied to
the cell from a known traceable source with resultant pressure values entered using PCCU software.
During factory calibration, the differential pressure (DP) is set to zero to compensate for any leaks that may be detected. After
field calibration of the unit, the correction made at the factory remains as is. This ensures that the readings received in the field
are accurate. The user may not change the factory set shift. If readings appear incorrect, you may need to check for leaks and
then recalibrate the DP.
When calibrating, wait for the readings to stabilize before entering the new values.
Equipment needed:
Calibration standard
To calibrate Differential Pressure (DP):
Connect the PC running PCCU32 to the flow computer with either an MMI cable (RS-232), a USB cable or an
Ethernet cable.
Open PCCU
Select the Calibration button from the toolbar. The Flow Computer is placed in hold.
Select DP to begin Differential Pressure calibration.
Select the 3 or 5 Point Calibration.
Set the Transducer DP Pressure Range in calibration window before proceeding. This should match the range
reading from the tag or label attached to the transducer. Target values based on the selected range will appear in the
calibration table.
Verify that the vent valve is closed (Figure 92:).
Open both the high and low equalizer valves.
Close both the downstream and upstream tap valves.
