Areas of application
For cleaning, you can use either steam directly from the steam nozzle 0 or fi t an
accessory.
Do not use an accessory if you want to clean for example toilets and sinks,
taps and drains, windows, furniture, fabrics, shutters or mirrors.
You can easily remove water, together with the dissolved soiling, on smooth
surfaces with the squeegee q after cleaning.
NOTICE
The closer the nozzle is to the surface to be cleaned, the better the eff ect,
as both steam pressure and temperature are at their highest directly at the
nozzle exit.
Use the curved nozzle 9 for tight corners or joints, or hard to reach places.
Use the round brush 8 for stubborn soiling, for example, on wheel rims.
Attaching / detaching accessories
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Always remove the plug from the mains power socket before you at-
tach / detach an accessory.
Wait until the appliance has cooled down before you attach / detach an
accessory.
Wait until all of the steam has drained away before you attach / detach an
accessory.
1) Place the attachment slightly off set on the steam nozzle 0, so that the small
retainers grip into the rails inside the accessory.
2) Turn the attachment so that it sits fi rmly on the steam nozzle 0.
3) To remove the accessory, turn it so far that you can lift it away from the
steam nozzle 0.
Child protection system
This appliance is equipped with a child protection system.
To activate the child protection system, slide the "Child Safety" switch 2 up-
wards to the symbol
down.
To deactivate the child protection system, slide the "Child Safety" switch 2
downwards to the symbol
again.
