Configuration

To configure a PROFIBUS PA Class 1 Master (for example, a PLC), you will need a GSD
file.

The GSD file

The GSD file (SIEM8124.gsd for the 6 m Probe LU; or SIEM8123.gsd for the 12 m Probe LU)

Power Demands

To determine how many devices can be connected to a bus line, calculate the combined
maximum current consumption of all the connected devices and allow a current reserve for
safety.

selectable, and can be either 12, 13, 15, or 20 mA. (See
