If an error message appears after calling up the WiFi Network Camera via the public IP
address from outside the local network, access to the WiFi Network Camera is probably
blocked by the Firewall integrated in your router. In this case, the settings of the router must
be changed in such a way that access to the camera via the Internet is permitted.
The below example demonstrates which settings have to be selected in a router in order for
the WiFi Network Camera to be called up via the Internet. As the settings menus of routers
can vary considerably, a general description for remedying any problems can unfortunately
not be provided at this point. Please check your router documentation how access to the
router can be enabled for different devices. This can normally be found in the section "Port
forwarding".
In case of a so called port forwarding, a separate access must be set up for the WiFi Network
Camera in the router via which access from the Internet is permitted. This newly assigned
access is not blocked by the firewall of the router and forwarded directly to the WiFi Network
Camera.
First, start the configuration menu of your router. In most cases this can be accessed via the
local network address which you can, for instance, find as "standard gateway" in the network
settings of the program supra IPCam Config. For further information see the Instruction
Manual of your router.
Next, open the port forwarding menu in the configuration menu of the router. In the following
example this can be found under "Application & Games" as "Simple further processing".
