BACnet become available to be read by the ASCII system in any moment. From the ASCII system point of view, after the start up process of the gateway, IntesisBox waits for any query (ASCII messages requesting readings of points or ASCII messages requesting writings of points), and acts according to the message received. -

4.1 Introduction LinkBoxBacnet is a Windows compatible software tool developed specifically to monitor and configure IntesisBox BACnet IP series gateways. It is possible to configure all external protocols available for IntesisBox BACnet IP and to maintain different customer’s configurations based on a LinkBoxBacnet project for every different installation. 5.2 Setup procedure 1. Install LinkBoxBacnet on your laptop. 2. Install IntesisBox in the desired installation site. The mounting can be on DIN rail or on a stable not vibrating surface (DIN rail mounting inside a metallic industrial cabinet connected to ground is recommended). - Page 27 8. Open the ASCII Communication Viewer window (menu View -> Bus -> ASCII), force some point's polling from the ASCII device connected to IntesisBox, and check that there is communication activity, some TX frames and some other RX frames. This means that the communication with the ASCII device is ok.
