4.4 Pulse width modulation
Configuration
You configure the pulse width modulation with the following parameters:
● "Pulse width modulation" operating mode
● Pulse width modulation time period
● Substitute value duty factor
● Diagnostics: Overflow
Chronological sequence
The output value (0 to 1000) is written from the user program to the output word of the
channel. The module maps this value by means of the output characteristic and the values
for minimum pulse duration and minimum pulse pause to the configured time period and thus
determines the pulse/pause duty factor (the pulse duration) of the pulse width modulation.
