TRANSFERRING DATA TO A PC
You will need a card reader to transfer image data from a memory
card to a computer. This can be either an integrated card reader or an
externally connected device via USB cable.
Note:
Your Leica X-U is equipped with an integrated sensor to detect the
camera directionality – horizontal or vertical (both directions) – used for
each exposure. This information allows the images to be presented
upright automatically when displayed on a computer running the
appropriate programs.

WIRELESS DATA TRANSFER

Your Leica X-U allows the use of WiFi memory cards like the
FlashAir™ by Toshiba. These cards can be used as a WLAN hotspot,
allowing a wireless transmission of data from the camera to any
WLAN-capable device like notebooks, tablets, smartphones and other
cameras, but also social networks and cloud-based storage services
via WiFi and a browser.
Enabling/Disabling the Function:
Select
in the menu and then the required setting in the
FlashAir
sub-menu
Notes:
• Please remember that the WiFi function to transfer the image data
is powered by the camera battery. Make sure to disable the WiFi
function when not in use.
• Please read the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your
WiFi card for details.
Important:
Please make sure to read the information regarding data protection
and unauthorized access in the manufacturer's description of your
WiFi card.
