Memory Card Care
• Memory cards must not be removed and the camera must not be
turned off or subjected to vibrations while images are being saved
to or read from the card
• Make sure to store memory cards in their anti-static container when
not in use.
• Do not store memory cards where they will be exposed to high
temperatures, direct sunlight, magnetic fields or static discharge.
• Do not drop or bend memory cards as this can damage them and
result in loss of the stored data.
• Always remove the memory card if you will not be using the
camera for a long period of time.
• Do not touch the connections on the reverse of the memory card
and keep them free of dirt, dust and moisture.
• It is recommended that the memory card be reformatted from time
to time to remove fragmented memory space occurring after image
deletion and to free up all available space.

Storage
• If you are not using the camera for a longer period of time, we
recommend that you:
a. Turn off the camera,
b. remove the memory card and
c. remove the rechargeable battery (the stored date and time will
be lost after a maximum of three days).
• A lens works like a magnifying glass if bright sunlight shines on the
front of the camera. The camera must therefore never be set aside
in strong sunlight without protection. Using the lens cap and
keeping the camera in the shade (or immediately putting it away in
the case) will help prevent damage to the interior of the camera.
• Store the camera preferably in a closed and padded container to
avoid scratches on its body.
• Store the camera in a dry, adequately ventilated place safe from high
temperatures or humidity.
• Empty your camera case if it got wet to prevent damage to your
equipment from leather-tanning residue.
