    The screws used in the computer are not interchangeable. They may have standard or metric threads and may be of different lengths. If an incorrect screw is used during the reassembly process, it can damage the unit. Pull the expansion card straight up from the socket. If you are removing a PCI Express x16 card, pull the retention arm on the back of the expansion socket away from the card (1) and carefully rock the card back and forth until the connectors pull free from the socket.

NOTE: Before you remove the old hard drive, be sure to back up the data from the old hard drive so that you can transfer the data to the new hard drive.

    Memory Description 16-GB 8-GB 4-GB The computer comes with double data rate 4 synchronous dynamic random access memory (DDR4-SDRAM) dual inline memory modules (DIMMs). DIMMs The memory sockets on the system board can be populated with up to two industry-standard DIMMs. These memory sockets are populated with at least one preinstalled DIMM.

    Fan sink CAUTION: The bond between the fan sink and the processor may be very tight. If the computer will power on, before removing the fan sink, turn on the computer until it warms the fan sink. Warming the fan sink lessens the bond between the heat sink and the processor, thereby making separating them easier.
