13 Grid Management Services
To regulate active power feed-in at the grid-connection point, perform the following actions in the
specified order. The exact procedure is described in the following sections.
• Adjusting the settings for the active power gradient
• Selecting measurement source of active power feed-in at the grid-connection point
• Making settings for active power limitation
Adjusting the Settings for the Active Power Gradient
This setting is only required if the grid operator requires the system not to feed in active power.
Requirement:
☐ You must have received a personal SMA Grid Guard code (application form for the
SMA Grid Guard code available at www.SMA-Solar.com, for further information on the
SMA Grid Guard code, see Section 15.5, page 83).
Procedure:
1. Log in to the Cluster Controller as Installer.
2. Select the SMA Grid Guard symbol (
☑ This opens the SMA Grid Guard dialog.
3. In the field Individual access code, enter the personal SMA Grid Guard code.
4. Select [OK].
☑ The SMA Grid Guard mode is activated. In the system tree, updating the symbols for
access rights (SMA Grid Guard symbol and padlock symbol) can take up to two minutes.
5. Select the system in the system tree and select the menu Settings in the device menu.
6. Select the parameter group System & device control.
7. Select [Edit].
8. Select the group Inverter.
9. Enter the value 200 in the field Active power gradient.
10. Select [Save].
Selecting Measurement Source of Active Power Feed-In at the Grid-Connection
Point
Requirement:
☐ A measurement source (e.g., Energy Meter) must be available at the grid-connection point.
Procedure:
1. Log into the Cluster Controller as Installer.
2. Select the Cluster Controller in the system tree.
3. Select Settings in the device menu.
4. Select the parameter group Grid connection > Measured values > Measurements at
grid-connection point.
5. Select [Edit].
