Alarms

The alarm page includes information of the last three alarms on
the system. For each alarm time, type of alarm and identification
code for the alarm is presented. Below each alarm a description
of each identification code is displayed.
Software version for each unit (Distribution Unit =

and Processing Unit =

serial number for Sensor and Processing unit. The date behind
each unit's software version refers to manufacture date for the
unit.
System load as a percentage of used CPU capacity in the
Processing unit is presented in the system information, together
with Sensor unit status. The Sensor unit status is mainly used by
service personnel.
The Simrad HS52 will generate three types of alarms. These are
position, heading and no data alarm.
It is possible to enable the heading alarm and the position alarm
individually and to set all alarms enabled or all alarms disabled.
The no data (lack of data) alarm will be enabled as long as any
alarm is enabled. The alarm setup is available from the Expert
setup menu.
From the same menu it is also possible to enable or disable use
of the alarm sound on and off. The sound, if enabled, will be
present as long as the alarm condition is present, and the alarm
is not acknowledged. To comply with the IMO approval the
alarm switch has to be connected to an external alarm panel. It is
then recommend disabling the internal Display unit alarm sound.

A no data alarm occurs when the Processing unit has not
received data from any sensor the last second.
A position alarm occurs when the position is invalid. The reason
for invalid position might be too few available satellites or that
