Initial start up and operation

6.3 User interface

The MultiControl has an integrated web server that generates a user interface for configuring the
MultiControl. This user interface can be called up via a computer connected to the MultiControl.
Except for a web browser, no additional software needs to be installed on the computer.

Requirements

To start the web-based user interface, the following requirements must be met:
The MultiControl has a valid IP address which is known (factory setting: IP address
192.168.0.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0).
The connected computer must be in the same IP range (see system description / network
settings of the PC, if applicable).
There is an Ethernet connection between the MultiControl and the computer.
Access to port 80 is possible (user interface is HTTP-based).
The MultiControl is not configured on EtherCAT because EtherCAT does not allow HTTP
communication. The bus type can be read out using the magnetic sensor (see
supplementary document "Interroll MultiControl - Operating and Programming").

Start the user interface

On the computer connected to the MultiControl, start the web browser.
Enter the IP address of the MultiControl in the address bar (factory setting:
http://192.168.0.1/).
Enter the login data on the login page (factory setting: user name "Interroll", password
"Interroll").
