AC/DC coupling
The DC coupled setting allows both AC and DC input signals to pass through to
the measurement circuitry. The AC coupled setting blocks the DC component of
the input signal by switching a capacitor in series to the input path.
The DC coupled setting allows signals to be measured down to 0 Hz. This setting
should be used when making DC voltage measurements. The AC coupled setting
is selected when you need to measure only the AC component of a signal, for
example, when making RMS or peak-to-peak voltage measurements.
