databases are synchronized, the system will verify them for use by showing "Verifying" in
the Standby column. After the databases are verified, a cyan double arrow symbol will
appear between the Standby and Active columns to show which databases will be
transferred to Active use on the next power cycle or restart.

When all database updates are complete, the Database Update field at the top of the
screen will say, "Restart avionics to activate selected standby databases." If the engine
is not running, a Restart softkey appears at the bottom of the MFD. Press Restart to
cycle power on the displays. If the Restart softkey is not present, turn OFF PFD and
MFD.
Remove the database update card from the top slot of the MFD.
Turn ON the displays.
The displays may state they are verifying databases at power-up. If so, follow the on-
screen instructions to continue.
Go to the MFD Aux - Databases page and verify the uploaded databases transferred
from the Standby column to the Active column. If any did not transfer, follow these steps
to initiate a manual transfer -
a. Push the FMS knob on the MFD controller to turn on the cursor.
