Customizing sound quality settings
You can use various functions to set the desired sound quality.
1. In the Home screen, tap

Equalizer function
You can set the sound quality according to the music genre. You can also preset
your equalizer settings as a custom setting.
Surround sound function
You can set sound effects and enrich the sound reproduction quality of the audio
playback. VPT, which stands for Virtualphones Technology, is a proprietary sound
processing technology developed by Sony.
DSEE HX function
This function upscales the audio file to a High-Resolution Audio file (*1) and
reproduces the clear high-range sound that is often lost. However, the available

if you want to set [Sound Settings].
The [DSEE HX] function and [Dynamic normalizer] function work effectively with
the [ClearAudio+] function. However, the setting of the [DSEE HX] function and
[Dynamic normalizer] function cannot be changed.
