Manufacture Mode Select
Close pin 2 and pin 3 of jumper
JPME2 to bypass SPI flash security
and force the system to operate in
the Manufacture Mode, allowing the
user to flash the system firmware
from a host server for system setting
modifications.

Use jumpers JI
C1 and JI

connect the System Management
Bus (I
C) to the PCI-Express slots to

improve PCI slot performance. These
two jumpers are to be set to the same
setting.
Management Engine Recovery
Use JPME1 to select ME Firmware
Recovery mode, which will limit re-
source allocation for essential system
operation only in order to maintain
normal power operation and manage-
ment. In the single operation mode,
an online upgrade will be available
via Recovery mode.
SAS Enable/Disable
JPS1 is used to enable onboard SAS
connections. See the table on the
right for jumper settings.
BIOS Recovery
Close pins 2/3 of JBR1 to force the
system into BIOS Recovery mode to
recover BIOS in a crisis situation. The
default setting is to close pins 1/2 to
use normal system operation mode.
