7.2 Error Codes and Sensor Malfunctions

Display Error
AS Room temperature sensor error.*
LO Room sensor is an open circuit.*
HI Room sensor is a short circuit.*
Defrost sensor is open or short

circuit.
 If display indicates an AS error, use the mode button to select "Fan" and LO or HI will be
displayed to indicate the underlying condition. See section 7.3 for additional information.
Front of unit is blocked by
drapes, blinds, furniture, etc.
and is restricting air distribution.
Doors, windows, registers, etc.
are open and cold air is
escaping.
Unit recently turned on in hot
room.
Dirty air filter- air restricted.
Outside temperature is
extremely hot.
Air movement sound.
Window vibration - poor
installation.
Improper installation.
Unit removing large quantity of
moisture from humid room.
Set temperature is too low.
Clear blockage in front of unit.
Close doors, windows, registers.
Allow additional time for unit to remove stored
heat from walls, ceiling, floor and furniture.
Clean air filter.
Set FAN speed to a Higher setting to push
more air through the coils.
This is normal. If too loud, set to a slower FAN
setting.
Refer to installation instructions or check with
installer.
Tilt air conditioner slightly downward toward
the outside to allow water drainage. Refer to
installation instructions - check with installer.
This is normal during very humid days.
Increase the set temperature.
Solution
 Check sensor connection to main PCB and
secure any detached or loose connections.
 Check sensor wire for damage and repair if
possible.
 Test sensor (see table 7.3) Replace sensor if
defective.
