3-5 Auxiliary Output (Non-Safety Output) (8-core cable, 12-core cable)
The device is equipped with an auxiliary output for non-safety applications.
The auxiliary output can be used to monitor specific states of the device.

Do not use the auxiliary output for the purpose of stopping the machine for which the device is in-
stalled. Risk of death or serious injury.

The output operation setting of the auxiliary output can be changed using the communication
module SF4D-TM1 (option) and Configurator Light Curtain software.
Example auxiliary output application
Example1: Preventative maintenance by checking unstable light reception
By setting the auxiliary output function to No. 5 (ON when light reception is unstable), you can
check the decrease of received light.
Example 2: Checking the interlock state to determine if device startup is possible
By setting the auxiliary output function to No. 8 (ON when light is received, OFF when light is
blocked), you can check if the interlock can be released by reset.
Example 3: Checking the lockout state to determine the maintenance method
By setting the auxiliary output function to No. 13 (ON during lockout), you can check if lockout
caused the control output (OSSD 1 / 2) to turn OFF.
