Software installation

2.9 Software installation

The SpotChecker is completely confi gurated and
ready for testing operation.
The software SpotChecker is installed as well as all
required drivers.

You will fi nd basic information on how to use the Win-
dows operating system in the documentation for Win-
dows and in the Windows Online Help (Start – Help).

Re-installation SpotChecker

The software has to be re-installed e.g. in the case of
a system failure. For re-installing you need the sup-
plied software CD.
Note:

Subsequent to the installation of the software you will
need a valid license fi le to start the program.
SpotChecker

Updates

If you install an update, don't delete the old version. In-
stall the new version in the directory suggested by the
installation program. The old program version is auto-
matically deleted; the old database is maintained and
automatically copied into the correct directory.

Installation procedure

For a new installation or an update, please follow the
procedure outlined below. In each case you have to
connect the SpotChecker with an adequate external
USB CD drive.
– Switch the SpotChecker on. Windows will start.
– Insert the software CD into the CD drive. The in-
stallation program will start automatically.
Follow the instructions of the installation program.
During the program run, please observe the following:
