Charging batteries

Charge the lithium-ion battery either directly in the in-
strument or by means of the recommended external
battery charger. Pay attention to the instructions for
use included with the battery charger.

Attention:
Only use the recommended batteries and the corre-
sponding battery charger. There is a danger of explo-
sion if batteries and the battery charger are not han-
dled properly.

Storage of batteries

The batteries should be stored at room temperature.
Higher temperatures reduce the possible storage time.
The batteries are delivered with a minimum residual
capacity of 20 %. This boosting charge enables a stor-
age period of at least six months at room temperature
before the electronic system goes to shut-down mode.
This mode extends the storage time to approximately
one year; after that, the batteries can no longer be
charged.
