4.1

Cleaning the instrument

The care of the SpotChecker is limited to the regular
outside cleaning. Use a moist cloth to clean the hous-
ing and the accessories.
If the instrument is very dirty, use a mild domestic
cleanser.

Attention:
Do not use any methyl alcohol, solvents, or dye pen-
etration cleaners for cleaning! The plastic parts may
be damaged.
Clean the power supply unit and the cables using only
a dry cloth.

4.2 Maintenance

Check the pins of the connectors at regular intervals.
The pins must not be damaged.
No other maintenance work is in principle required on
the SpotChecker.
4.3

Care of batteries

The capacity and life of batteries depends on their
correct handling. Pay attention to the following infor-
mation.
You should charge the batteries in the following cases:
prior to the system start-up,
after a storage time of 3 months or longer.
