Using a Keystroke Program
A keystroke
program
is a preprogrammed
set of features
and addresses
that have been
stored into a Quick Dial key. See page 9-26
for details on storing a keystroke program.
To use a stored keystroke
program, follow one of the
following procedures.

Transmission
Place the documents
into the feeder.
Select the required contrast and resolution.
Enter the page count and your department
code, if
required.
Press the key into which the desired program
has
been stored.
Polling Reception
Press the key into which the desired program
has
been stored.

Monitor Speaker
This function can be used to listen to the telephone
line during transmission,
reception or
dialing.
Each function can be enabled or disabled by a service technician.
If enabled, the monitor
speaker will always be working during the operations indicated below.

Transmission
Mode
In automatic
dialing mode (not using the handset or
telephone),
the ringback tone, busy tone, operator's
voice, or the answer back tone from a facsimile ma-
chine can be heard through
the monitor
speaker.
After the answer back tone the machine goes into
transmission mode, then the monitor is cut off.
Receiving Mode
When
the machine
goes into receiving mode, the
operator's
voice
or the signal from
the remote
terminal
can be heard. After
receiving
the signal
from the remote terminal, the monitor is cut off.
Note:
The
speaker
volume
can be controlled
with function 55. See page 9-5.
