TX/RX menu
The [TX/RX] menu contains settings for pulse transmission and receipt. Depending on
your vessel's configuration, some menu items may not be available. See the lists be-
low for more details.

Adjusts the output power of the transducer. Where fish finders or
other equipment causes interference, you can adjust the output
power level to help reduce, or eliminate, the interference. You can
also disable transmission completely by selecting the [Off] option.
The setting options are different for DFF3 and DFF1-UHD:
DFF3: [Off], [1] to [10]
DFF1-UHD: [Auto]*, [Off], [MIN] (Minimum), [MAX] (Maximum)
*: Select [Auto] to automatically adjust the transmission power,
which produces higher quality seabed echoes.
Adjusts the transmission rate for the transducer. When in shallow
waters second reflection echoes may appear between the surface
and actual bottom echo. In this case, lower the TX rate level. Use
a high rate for fast speed; a slow rate for slow speed.
HF
Pulse width changes according to range and shift values. However,
when long range detection or better resolution is your objective,
you can manually adjust the pulse width. the available settings are:
• [1/4]: Higher resolution, however range is lower than the [1/2]
setting.
• [1/2]: High resolution, however range is lower then the [Std] set-
ting.
• [Std]: Standard (default) setting. Range and resolution are bal-
anced.
• [×2]: Higher range than [Std], however resolution is lower.
• [Manual]: Adjust the pulse width manually.
Available only when [TX Pulse] is set to [Manual]. A low setting
gives a higher resolution, however the range is lowered. A high set-
ting give a longer range, however the resolution is lowered.
Rx bandwidth is automatically set according to [TX Pulse] → [Pulse
Length].The [Normal] setting provides good performance. If noise
is a problem switch to [Narrow]. For better resolution, select [Wide].
[Manual] enables manual setting of Rx band width, at [RX Band
Width].
Operative when [Manual] is selected at [RX Band]. A small value
decreases the noise. On the other hand, a large value gives better
resolution.
