ADDENDUM USE OF HARDWARE LINKS ON THE SECONDARY
ELECTRONICS
A picture of the secondary electronics, ANALOG version and
HART + ANALOG version are given in the pictures (see figg.
1 and 2).
There are 6 dip switches located on the secondary electronics
for the Analog and for the Analog+HART versions, as indicated
below:

Switch 1 is for Span Raise/Lower
Switch 2 is for Damping Raise/Lower
Switch 3 is for Raise/lower Enable/Disable
Switch 4 is for Square Root Enable/Disable
Switch 5 is for Write Protect mode selection
Switch 6 is for Up/Down Scale selection
In the Analog version switch 3 is disabled!
In the HART + Analog version the switch 4 is disabled!
Note: For a proper usage, switch 1 and 2 must be always left
in default position: OFF
Now follows a description of the operations.

With switch 3 down in off position, ZERO and SPAN local adjustment, located below
the nameplate of the transmitter housing can be used for ZERO (4-mA point), and
SPAN (20 mA point), adjustment, i.e. range calibration.
With switch 3 up in on position, ZERO and SPAN local adjustment can be used for
ZERO and SPAN RAISE/LOWER.
ZERO Raise/Lower
The Raise/Lower for ZERO is normally enabled. Just rotate the ZERO or SPAN local
adjustment for 2 secs. If you have an Integral digital display you receive the message:
LRV ACT (for Lower Range Value Active) and then the LRV VALUE with engineering
unit is displayed.
- use ZERO to decrease the value
- use SPAN to increase the value
After 10 secs of non use of Zero or Span the operation terminates and the message
on the display is: END and the LRV is stored permanently. With no integral digital
display available you must read the analog output4-20 mA during the setting.
