At the first glance, the snom 200 does not look like a „Voice over
IP" telephone. As a matter of fact, the plastic was taken from a ISDN
telephone from Elmeg — a German telephone manufacturer who builds
phones for more than 50 years.
We think this is good. End users are not asking for technology,
they are asking for solutions. The snom 200 feels just like a „normal"
phone. When you read this manual, most of the time you will think this is
just another phone.
The Internet makes its way to the telephone. Just like Email and
the World Wide Web has revolutionized the exchange of paper, we believe
that Voice over IP will do the same with real time comminications. In a few
years we will ask ourselfs why we were transporting voice over seperate
