Error Message

The following error messages may appear when you use SpectraMagic® NX CM-S100w, optional color
management software, to control the instrument. If you see an error message, follow the instructions shown
in the table below. If a problem persists, contact the nearest Konica Minolta-authorized service facility.

Time for Periodic
Calibration.Please contact
the closest Service Center.
File Open Error(Incorrect
File Extension).
Flash not ready.
File open error.
Flash Error.
Not Calibrated.
Incorrect Calibration
Procedure.
A/D Error.
EEPROM Error.
Circuit is not operating
properly.
Not Ready.
Problem / possible cause
It is time to perform
periodic calibration.
The file extension
is incorrect.
The illumination unit has
not been charged.
The calibration data file
cannot be read properly.
The xenon lamp
failed to emit light.
• Xenon lamp dead
• Illumination circuit failure
• Sensor failure"
Zero calibration and
white calibration have
not been performed.
The calibration procedure
is not correct.
The count value is not
appropriate for zero (0%) or
while (100%) calibration.
A/D conversion failed.
• A/D converter failure
• Circuit failure"
The EEPROM may
be damaged.
The motor for changing
the measurement
diameter, adjusting the
UV light amount, or
switching between SCI
and SCE is not working.
Charging for flashing the
xenon lamp is not complete.

Action
Contact the nearest KONICA
MINOLTA-authorized
service facility and request
periodic calibration.
Select the file that has the
correct file extension.
Contact a KONICA
MINOLTA-authorized
service facility.
Load the original calibration
data file again. If the
problem persists, contact
the nearest Konica Minolta-
authorized service facility.
Retry measurement or
perform recalibration. If the
message persists, contact

Perform zero recalibration
and white calibration.
