Before connecting to external devices, follow the precautions below. 6.1 Attaching Rubber feet First, clean the bottom surface of the IMP-400UHD as needed, and then peal the release papers from the rubber feet and place them in each of the four corners.
・Read manuals for the external devices. ・Before you connecting cables to the IMP-400UHD or an external device, dissipate static electricity by touching grounded metal such as racks before handling signal cables. Failure to observe this precaution may result in ESD (electrostatic discharge) damage.
IMP-400UHD User’s Guide 6.3.1 Cables If the video is 4K format, the TMDS data rate (transmission speed) is 18 Gbps at maximum. If a high-speed HDMI cable, the TMDS data rate becomes 10.2 Gbps at maximum, and video cannot be displayed stably.
Connect the audio cable to the 5-pin terminal block, and then insert the 5-pin terminal block into the appropriate port on the IMP-400UHD’s rear panel. The IMP-400UHD supports both balanced and unbalanced analog signals AWG28 to AWG16 conductor gauge is recommended for optimal performance.

IMP-400UHD User’s Guide 6.3.5 AC adapter with screw lock mechanism The shapes of AC plugs with screw lock mechanism vary from country to country. The AC plug can be removed from the AC adapter. Press and hold the “IN1” key for 3 seconds or longer to set / cancel key lock. The LOCK LED illuminates green and all keys cannot be controlled while keys are locked. If the IMP-400UHD is powered off with the key locked, the IMP-400UHD starts with the same lock status when it is powered on.

8.1.1 Non-signal input monitoring If you change the EDID settings of the IMP-400UHD or power the IMP-400UHD on / off, the source device may not output a video signal. Use this menu to set the monitoring time which is from when a source device stops outputting signal to when the IMP-400UHD requests the source device to output video signal.
The IMP-400UHD is HDCP compliant, if it is connected to a display device that does not support HDCP, video may not be displayed. Under these circumstances and if the content is not protected, the problem can be solved by setting this menu to “DISABLE”.
8.2 Switching settings 8.2.1 Priority of input channel automatic switching The IMP-400UHD switches input channel automatically when input signal is “OFF” to “ON” or “ON” to “OFF”. You can set the priority of automatic switching priority for each input channel.

Normally, the sink device automatically selects the optimal color space to the color space of the input video. However, if the sink device cannot select the optimal color space for any reason, the IMP-400UHD sets the color space instead of the sink device.
The IMP-400UHD acquires the connected sink device’s EDID to determine whether the sink device is compliant with HDMI or DVI and then outputs video signal. However, if the IMP-400UHD cannot acquire EDID for any reason, audio may not be output because the sink device’s type cannot be determined correctly.
