NOTE
• HDMI CEC is available when DISC, SD,
NETWORK source are selected and "HDMI AUDIO
OUTPUT" in DIGITAL IN source is set to "AUTO".
• When you start playback on the main unit, the
connected TV automatically turns on.
• When you select the main unit as the source of the
TV, picture and sound from the main unit are
automatically produced.
• When you turn off the TV, the main unit
automatically turns off. (This function works when
"ON1" is selected for "CONTROL WITH HDMI" in
the preference screen. Refer to page 53)
• As long as the connected TV is compatible, you can
use the operations of the TV to start playback,
adjust the volume and operate other functions on
the main unit.
• If you change the menu language on TV when the
main unit is turned on, the main unit also changes
automatically. (If the main unit is turned off, it does
not change the menu language automatically even
though you changed the menu language on TV and
turn the main unit again.)
• The device may not function normally when
amplifiers or selectors are connected. In this case,
set "CONTROL WITH HDMI" to "OFF".
• Not all HDMI devices are compatible with CEC. If
the main unit is connected to non-CEC compatible
devices, these devices cannot be controlled using
the CEC function.
• We do not guarantee the operation of this unit with
all HDMI CEC-compatible devices.
• Some HDMI CEC-compatible devices may have
different functions installed due to the device
specifications. Therefore, not all interface functions
with the main unit will be activated. (For details,
refer to the instruction manual of your CEC
devices.)
• The connected devices may not function as
intended. In this case, set "CONTROL WITH HDMI"
to "OFF".
CAUTION
• If the power cable is not connected to an AC outlet,
the CEC function does not work, even when the
main unit is connected to CEC devices.
• The CEC function may not work depending on the
settings or status of the main unit or the connected
CEC devices.
• If the CEC function does not operate appropriately,
perform the following operation to allow the main
unit to recognize the connected devices properly.
1. Turn off and on the power of the main unit
while the power of the TV remains turned on.
2. Turn "CONTROL WITH HDMI" on the setting
menu of the main unit to "OFF". Then set it to
"ON1" again.

"ON2". Refer to "CONNECTION SETTING" on page
53)
3. Turn off this unit and the TV.
