As shown in
down-weights of track interfaces a, b, c, and d are 80, 50, 30, and 20 respectively. If two binding
interfaces go Down, track interface d is triggered to go Down. If eight binding interfaces go
Down, track interface d is triggered to go Down. If the number of binding interfaces in the Down
state in the interface monitoring group is smaller than 8, the status of interface a will become
Up again.
Currently, an interface monitoring group can monitor the physical status and BFD status of
interfaces.

3.3 Interface Monitoring Group Application

This section describes the applicable environment of the interface monitoring Group..
As shown in
Routers to implement traffic load balancing, and the Routers are connected to 3 industrial switch
routers. If the links between Router1 and Router A and between Router1 and Router B fail, only
the link between Router1 and Router C is available. The LSWs, however, cannot detect the link
failures, and still send packets to Router C through Router1. As a result, the link between Router1
and Router C is overloaded.
