2.5 Default Configuration

This section describes default parameter settings of interface backup.

Description
This section describes how to
configure association of
interface backup in active/
standby mode. When the
primary interface or its
directly connected link is
faulty, a backup interface
with the highest priority is
started to transmit services.
This improves
communication reliability.
This section describes how to
configure interface backup in
load balancing mode. When
the bandwidth on the primary
interface is insufficient, the
backup interface with the
highest priority is selected to
load balance services with
the primary interface. This
improves reliability of data
transmission.
