This scanner decodes PDF417 two-dimensional bar codes.
Turn the vehicle-mount on. Wait until the unit has booted up completely.
Aim at the bar code and press the trigger. The beam expands into a rectan-
gle covering the bar code to properly scan it. The scan beam and a warning
indicator are visible until a successful decode is achieved or three seconds
have elapsed.
3.8 Connecting & Disconnecting Tethered Peripherals
Tethered peripherals such as imagers, RFID readers, scanners and/or printers
connect to the vehicle-mount computer with a quick release, circular connector.

8525 G2/8530 G2 detects them and loads the necessary drivers. Keep in mind
however that some peripherals may require their own specific drivers to be loaded
manually. An icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen provides a visual
representation of the peripheral and indicates that it is ready for operation.

8525 G2/8530 G2:
Insert the barrel of the plug into the tether port and rotate slowly until it
clicks into place. The red dot on the port and on the connector should
be aligned.
