1. Place the hoist on a surface (such as the corner of a table) so that
the hoist is supported yet the straps and hand control are free
hanging. Ensure the hoist is safe and cannot slip/fall of the table.
Locate the loose strap switch A and visually check if there is

clearance between collet C and chassis.
a. If not: whilst retaining the geometry of the slack strap wire
B and collet arm, loosen the collet grub screw D with a
2 mm Allen key.
b. Create clearance between collet and chassis.
c. Retighten the collet grub screw.
3. Test the loose strap function. Refer to chapter 5.3 Checking
Loose Strap Function, page 26. This test can be carried out with
the hoist remaining on the table.
If the fault is rectified, re-assemble the hoist. If not, continue
with step 4.

4. Adjust tension on the slack strap wire:
Loosen the collet grub screw D with a 2 mm Allen key.
a.
Note the spring F will now pull the collet arm C against the
switch so it is open circuit.
b. Lift the strap E off the slack strap wire B and lift up the
slack strap wire.
c. Retighten the collet grub screw D.
5. Test the loose strap function. Refer to chapter 5.3 Checking
Loose Strap Function, page 26. This test can be carried out with
the hoist remaining on the table.
6. If the fault is rectified, re-assemble the hoist and reset the
emergency stop.
