Basic instructions

Basic instructions
There are 3 types of fault:
■ Warning:
─ Warning messages
■ Fault (with indication):
A
─ Alarm messages
─ System messages
─ Diagnostic messages
■ Other faults (without indication): See chapter 9.2
The messages valid for your machine are dependent on how the individual machine is equipped.
1. Do not attempt fault rectification measures other than those given in this manual!
2. In all other cases:
Have the fault rectified by an authorized KAESER SERVICE representative.
Detailed information for the various messages can be found in the user manual
SIGMA CONTROL 2 .

Other Faults

Fault
Machine does not run.
Machine runs but produces no
compressed air.

Possible cause
Control transformer not wired.
Inlet valve not opening or only
opening partially.
Venting valve not closing.
Leaks in the pressure system.
Air consumption is greater than
the capacity of the compressor.
Hose coupling or maintenance
hose still plugged into the
quick-release coupling on the
oil separator tank.
Remedy
Connect control transformer in
accordance with the electrical
diagram.
Machine with refrigeration dry‐
er:
Connect dryer transformer in
accordance with the electrical
diagram.
Call authorized KAESER Serv‐
ice representative.
Call authorized KAESER Serv‐
ice representative.
Check piping and connections
for leaks and tighten any loose
fittings.
Check the air system for leaks.
Shut down the consumer(s).
Remove coupling or mainte‐
nance hose.
