Still Image Recording/Automatic Still Image Recording
Pressing the [AUTO] button on the device or [
recording allows you to take a photo whenever you wish.
Holding down the [AUTO] button on the device turns ON the automatic still image capture function.
The automatic still image capture function records still images automatically according to the preset count
and interval of time.
Holding down the [AUTO] button on the device again turns off the automatic still image capture function.
Note
• The recording data is saved to the "PICTURE(Still Images)" folder.
• Recording already in progress will not halt even if still images are recorded.
• Still images are saved with the same resolution as set by [Resolution + HDR Recording].

• The number of still images that are captured automatically and the interval of time can be
changed.(P.29)
• A photo cannot be taken when the device is not recording such as during playback or when
configuring menu settings.
• The automatic still image capture function turns off in any of the following states:
- Device powered off
- No SD card mounted
- Setup screen on display
- Recording file list on display
Parking recording
Turning off the accessories power (ACC) turns off the power of the device and switches to
parking recording mode to perform vehicle collision monitoring. If the vehicle is subjected
to a collision, the power of the device turns on and parking recording starts. When parking
recording ends, vehicle collision monitoring resumes.
