The Cleaning nee-
dle is not assembled
in the Japan version.
If the cleaning nee-
dle cannot clear the
injector: Prepare a desca-
ling solution with one
sachet descaler and 0.5 l
drinking water. Put open
capsule holder into des-
caling solution and let
work over night.
Insert cleaning nee-
dle back into drip
tray after use.

Deblock injector

Solid residues in the water circuit can block the injector in the capsule holder lid
completely. An example is the development of calcium particles if the machine is not
descaled periodically. Therefore this error appears during descaling frequently.

1. Needle valve ball (check valve)
2. Injector (steel needle)
Risk of damage!
The cleaning needle can pierce and damage the needle valve ball in the
capsule holder lid (see detail).
Protective measures:
• Only insert the cleaning needle into the injector from the inside of the
capsule holder lid. The lid must be open.
• Do not fully insert the cleaning needle into the injector.
1. Remove and tilt drip tray.
2. Take out cleaning needle.
3. Open locking handle.
