The enclosed capsule holder system is designed to
-
withstand the maximal pump pressure
-
prevent the capsule from delaminating
-
protect the user in case of a capsule failure or misuse (hot fluid splashes)
-
prevent water from flowing back into the machine
-
protect the underside of the extraction head from pollution.
The overflow basin (5) in the capsule holder (4) collects liquid in case of a capsule failure
(blocked capsule) or residual fluid after an extraction.
