Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.

Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or
disconnecting battery terminals.
To reduce risk of electric shock, disconnect the UPS from the mains supply before
installing a computer interface signal cable. Reconnect the power cord only after
signaling interconnections have been made.
Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel with knowledge
of batteries and the required precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from
batteries.
The instructions contained within this safety manual are deemed important and should be
closely followed at all times during installation and follow-up maintenance of the UPS and
batteries.
To reduce the risk of fire. Connect only to a circuit provided with 20 amperes
maximum branch circuit overcurrent protection in accordance with the National
Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70".
