2 Applications

Combined with a matching transmitter from JTS,
the receiver UF-20R /5 or UF-20S/5 creates a wire-
less audio transmission system which is ideally
suited for professional stage applications The
REMOSET
function is a most convenient feature
®
for operating the system: Simply press a button
and, via a 2 4 GHz radio signal, the microphone/
pocket transmitter is matched to the transmission
frequency selected on the receiver
The receivers use "True Diversity" technol-
ogy: The signal sent from the wireless micro-
phone or pocket transmitter is received by two
antennas and amplified in two separate receiver
sections The signal of the highest quality is then
processed The transmission range depends on
local conditions; in open-field conditions, the
minimum range is 100 m
The following JTS transmitters can be combined
with the receivers:
JSS-20 / 5 Order No 25 7200
Dynamic hand-held microphone with integrated
transmitter
UF-20TB / 5 Order No 25 7230
Pocket transmitter for JTS microphones with
4-pole mini XLR plug

3 Operation

The UF-20R / 5 and the UF-20S / 5 can be placed
on a table as desired However, the UF-20R /5
can also be installed into a rack (482 mm / 19")
In the rack, it requires one rack space (1 RS =
44 45 mm)
The receiver UF-20R / 5 is equipped with two
receiver sections; connection and operation of
these sections are identical Therefore, the de-
scription below refers to one receiver section only

3.1 Connections

1) Insert the two antennas (2) provided into the
antenna jacks (17) and put them in a vertical
position
Hints:
1 To increase the range and the interference re-
sistance, the antenna amplifiers UB-900I can be
inserted The amplifiers are supplied with power
via the antenna jacks of the receiver (chapter 3 4)
2 On the receiver UF-20R /5, the set of antenna
jacks RTF-UF20 can be used to fix the antennas at
the front of the receiver: Insert the jacks through
the mounting holes (1), fasten them and connect
them to the antenna jacks (17) via the extension
cables provided
2) To connect the subsequent unit, e g mixer
or amplifier, two audio outputs are available:

balanced output (phantom power resistant)
for connection to a microphone input or
line input (The output level can be switched
accordingly,
 chapter 3 4 )
