FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES
FUNCTION MENU BASICS
Each primary measurement function (selected by rotary dial position) has a number of
optional sub‐functions or modes accessed by pressing the F1 key (MENU). A typical
menu is shown here.
Menu selection is indicated by the dark colored square
(designated as the 'menu selector' in this Instruction
Manual) to the left of the menu item. Use the four
front panel cursor buttons (left, right, up, and down)
to position the menu selector next to a menu item. As
the menu selector moves between menu items, the
four F keys and OK key change to reflect the available
functions and/or modes available for the selection
menu item.
THE 'HELP' UTILITY
While operating the meter, additional information regarding a selected function, a
front‐panel button, or a menu may be needed. Press the INFO key to open an
information window that lists topics covering the
functions and modifiers that are available at the time
the button is pressed. Each topic provides a brief
explanation on a meter function or feature. The
number of informational topics displayed at any one
time may exceed the display area. Use the keys
labeled NEXT and PREV to move from topic to topic.
Use the key labeled MORE, UP, and DOWN to scroll
through the information a full screen at a time.
