Accident risk!
Two way radios may interfere with the
vehicle electronics and thereby jeopar
dise the operational safety of the vehicle
and your safety if
• they do not have an exterior aerial,
• the exterior aerial is not reflection
free,
• the exterior aerial has been fitted in
correctly.
The excessive electromagnetic radiation
produced may constitute a health hazard
to yourself and others. The use of an ex
terior aerial is advised because of the
possible health risks that research indi
cates may be posed by electromagnetic
fields.
For that reason you should always have
the exterior aerial installed by a quali
fied specialist workshop which has the
necessary specialist knowledge and tools
to carry out the work required, e.g. a
smart center. In particular, work rele
vant to safety or on safety related sys
tems must be carried out at a qualified
specialist workshop.

In the event that electrical/electronic de
vices are fitted that were not installed in com
pliance with the above mentioned installation
specifications, the vehicle's operating appro
val may be rendered null and void (EU Direc
tive 95/54/EC).
