5.4. Setting the combustion air volume

The control system makes it possible to easily select the operating mode (semi-
automatic/automatic) and to adjust the combustion air volume to the individual in-
stallation situation and pellet quality.

5.4.1. Fine adjustment of the combustion air volume

The combustion air volume may need adjustment due to different pellet qualities
and the individual conditions at the installation site.
The pellet stove is correctly set up when the pellet embers in the burn grate move
easily and there is no build up of slag and therefore no stacking up of unburnt pellets
in the burn grate. Experience has shown that unburnt pellets may start stacking up
after 1 to 3 hours of operation. It is therefore essential to monitor the embers in the
pellet stove during the initial operating hours.
The setting parameter is called "Offset Cb" in the control system. The default setting
of this parameter is "Zero". Increasing this parameter increases the combustion air
volume, conversely, reducing the parameter decreases the volume. Only implement
changes in single steps, maximum two steps. You can implement changes between
+5 and -5.
Set the offset for exhaust fan (Cb).
